Driving a New Era of Patient-Centered Care with Digital Health & Innovation

The digital health market is experiencing unprecedented growth, with the global digital health market projected to reach $508-billion by 2027. Key drivers of this growth include the adoption of wearable devices, telemedicine, remote patient monitoring and artificial intelligence in healthcare. With a global aging population, chronic disease burdens, rising costs, evolving patient expectations and more, it has become imperative for healthcare leaders in Asia to effective leverage Digital Health tools, technology and processes to improve the delivery of healthcare services – and prepare for what’s next. Happening for the second consecutive year as part of Asia Healthcare Week, Digital Health 2025 will once again be a pivotal gathering for healthcare stakeholders, showcasing the rapid and transformative power of digital technologies in healthcare delivery.

11:10 am - 11:40 am Engaging the AI-Empowered Patient

Maurice Tan - Programme Director, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine

As AI adoption accelerates in both personal and professional settings, clinicians are leveraging its potential to enhance patient care, streamline workflows, and improve outcomes. Meanwhile, patients who have already integrated AI into other aspects of their lives are increasingly turning to GenAI for self-diagnosis and treatment, supplementing or even substituting traditional healthcare engagement. This session explores the intersection of clinician and patient AI adoption through five key lenses:

·      Attention: How clinicians and patients are noticing and responding to AI's potential in healthcare.

·      Association: Imageries and imaginations of how AI might show up in healthcare.

·      Anxiety: Highlighting concerns and fears surrounding AI adoption in healthcare.

·      Adoption: The practical applications and implications of AI in clinical practice and patient self-care.

·      Anticipation: What the future holds for AI in healthcare, and how clinicians and patients can prepare.
