HFDD Agenda 2022

Catalysed by the COVID experience, healthcare is undergoing end-to-end transformation fuelled by digital innovation, and new models of care and with it brings a new era of the patient-care provider relationship which places consumers at the centre of the health system.

As these new digital systems and care models begin embedding themselves into the core of healthcare, health infrastructure leaders not only have the opportunity to add bed capacity but also to reimagine the role and purpose of our built environments and facilities for our new era of healthcare.

With Victoria’s recent record $2.9 billion investment towards health facilities redevelopments over 2022-23 alone, the commitment to modernize and expand our built environments for this changing healthcare landscape is clear.

  • The Health Facilities and Design and Development Summit (HFDD) brings Victoria’s leading health infrastructure leaders together to address these notions and dive into contemporary planning, design and delivery practices shaping hospitals of the future. We will look at how to:
  • Design future-proof, flexible health facilities for a changing health landscape
  • Meet the diverse needs of consumers, clinicians and health stakeholders through co-design and engagement
  • Reduce environmental impact and drive efficient and green health facilities
  • Measure and improve the impact of health facilities on care outcomes
