Diabetes NSW & ACT is a member based charity dedicated to helping people living with or at risk of diabetes, their families and carers.
We aim to make life easier for the 430,000 people living with diabetes in NSW and the ACT. Their health and wellbeing is our priority and we offer a range of practical programs and services designed to make their lives easier.
We place the person living with diabetes at the centre and work to create a community where they can learn how to better manage their diabetes, share experiences and understand the benefits of the latest research and technology.
Our mission is a life without the complication or complications of diabetes and we are here to help the diabetes community every step of the way.
The National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) is an initiative of the Australian Government that commenced in 1987 and is administered with the assistance of Diabetes Australia. Through the NDSS we aim to enhance the capacity of people with diabetes to understand and self-manage their life with diabetes, and support them by providing timely, reliable and affordable access to NDSS support, services and products. Diabetes NSW & ACT is the agent for NDSS in NSW and the ACT.
