Albert Tan

Director, Operations Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore

Albert Tan is the Director of Ops Resource Management, as well as Director of Ops Allied Health in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. As Director of Ops Resource Management, his responsibilities include adopting a system level whole-of-hospital perspective to coordinate hospital operations, so as to minimise potential bottlenecks and service chokepoints throughout the hospital ecosystem and improve a patient’s hospital experience. This involves the constant exploration of the use of machine learning and analytics tools to improve hospital capabilities in forecasting and proactively managing critical issues. As Director of Ops Allied Health, Albert oversees the running of Allied Health clinics in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, as well as support the Allied Health professionals in implementing new care models and services both within the hospital as well as in the community. Prior to joining TTSH, Albert spent close to 10 years working in the Singapore Government formulating policies, as well as representing Singapore’s economic interest as Singapore’s Commercial Attache in the United Arab Emirates to facilitate international trade and export of Singapore services.
