In Asia, the demand for nursing professionals is expected to grow rapidly, with Asian Development Bank estimating that the region will need an additional 12.9 million healthcare workers by 2030 to meet the growing demand for healthcare services. Nursing professionals play a crucial role in the healthcare system of Asia, especially in addressing the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Asia.
According to the World Health Organisation, NCDs account for over 70% of deaths in the region, further highlighting the critical role of nursing and allied health professionals in managing and preventing these conditions.
Nursing Care 2024 will bring together Nursing leaders along with Patient Services, Clinical Operations and Medical Services leaders to explore best practices and projects for supporting these professionals in delivering a better quality of healthcare for patients across the region
